• Revd. Danny Adonis

DannyBoy Zamile Adonis was born on 26 September 1952 in Grabouw in the Western Cape.

He passed matric in 1973 and started work as a Court Interpreter in 1974. He went on to study and pass B.IURIS, and became a Public Prosecutor. This led to his being promoted to the Magistracy in 1990.

He further studied for his Diploma in Theology at TEEC  and was ordained as a Deacon in June 2000. Thereafter, he was ordained as a priest in December 2000.

Accepted employment at PSA in 2001. He has served under the Archdeaconry of Pretoria East and was posted to the parish of the Good Shepherd. He currently serves at the congregation of Corpus Christi as an assistant priest, and has also been a member of that congregation from 2002.

He studied and passed a Masters in Business Leadership and is General Manager of the PSA.

He is married to Nomvulo Dinah and has three children.

  • Revd. Steve Verryn

Fr Steve was born in 1960 in Pretoria. He is married to Sabine (geologist) and they are blessed with three great children:- Sandra, Nadine and Mark. He is both a scientist (geneticist), a non-stipendiary priest and an Extra-ordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria.

Fr Steve worked at the CSIR as a scientist for 19 years and then started his own business in the science of tree breeding in 2010.

He has been at Corpus Christi, Garsfontein, since the 1980’s, involved in many aspects of parish life, serving for a number of years as a deacon, before entering the priesthood. He is an assistant priest at this parish, but did act as priest-in-charge for the parish of St Stephen’s, Lyttelton, for 3 of the most recent years, before returning to the parish of Corpus Christi.
